On June 22, Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) was the guest speaker at a function to raise funds for the lodging industry’s legislative lobbying endeavors. Congressman Frank, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, spoke about the state of the economy and how it will impact tourism. Speaking before MLA members at the Omni Parker House in Boston, he fielded questions about credit, inflation and economic development, as well as the House and Senate’s efforts to revitalize the economy.
