Three-Day Itinerary

Day One Spend the morning at Dorchester Heights , then make a quick stop on Essex Street to visit the plaque marking the birthplace of Revolutionary War hero Henry Knox. Enjoy a delicious bistro lunch around the corner at Les Zygomates, and then take the nearby “T” Red Line to Quincy Center to visit the Adams National Historical Park .

Day Two At the Charlestown Navy Yard, visit the USS Constitution and its museum, and check out “Whites of Their Eyes,” a multimedia story of the Battle of Bunker Hill. After you work up an appetite climbing the Bunker Hill Monument , a perfect place to satisfy it is just down the hill at the Warren Tavern, thought to be the town's oldest building. Named in honor of Dr. Joseph Warren, a hero of the battle, the pub was a favorite spot of Paul Revere. Spend the afternoon in Cambridge , visiting the statue of George Washington on Cambridge Common and the general's headquarters at the Longfellow House.

Day Three Spend the morning in Lexington exploring Battle Green, the town's Visitors' Center and the historic Buckman Tavern, Munroe Tavern and Hancock-Clarke House — all sites related to the battle. Lunch in Concord at the 1716 Colonial Inn, then stop at the Concord Museum to see its collection of Revolutionary War artifacts, including a signal lantern from Old North Church . Then, visit the many points of interest in and around the Minute Man National Historical Park .
