2008 Hall of Fame Nomination Submission

The Massachusetts Lodging Association is now accepting nominations for the Hall of Fame celebration on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 . MLA members are encouraged to nominate one individual from each of the three following categories:

• an individual from the lodging industry;
• an individual from the industry partner (allied) category;
• an "at large"' candidate who represents the entire tourism industry.

Ideal candidates for submission will be individuals who have demonstrated exceptionally high degrees of leadership, service, and professionalism to the Massachusetts lodging industry and/or the state's overall tourism community. Please include any supporting information with your nominations.

All submissions must be received by Monday, September 8 , to be considered for review by the Hall of Fame Committee.

Please note: Each Hall of Fame honoree must meet ALL of the following criteria:

1. Must have shown outstanding leadership in Massachusetts ' lodging or tourism industries. The individual may or may not be currently active in these industries.
2. Must have made notable contributions of service and professionalism to Massachusetts ' lodging or tourism industries over a considerable period of time. Such contributions include but are not limited to:
• Personal participation in efforts that benefit the state's lodging and tourism industries.
• Successfully advocating for the advancement of the lodging and tourism industries within the state.
• Significant accomplishments made or awards earned in recognition of achievements within Massachusetts ' lodging and tourism industries.
• Offices held in local or national industry and/or community groups.
3. No Hall of Fame honoree may be a current officer of the MLA or an immediate past chairperson.
