In addition to guestrooms, lodging properties provide meeting rooms, event space and food & beverage for all types of groups, such as association, corporations, religious groups, social events, charities and others.
It is important to institute appropriate guidelines in order to reestablish meetings and events in Massachusetts lodging establishments. As this segment of hotel business requires unique protocols, the Massachusetts Lodging Association is providing this meeting and event guidance for the safety of the meeting/event attendees and employees, as well as guests and attendees.

These guidelines are in addition to the Massachusetts Lodging Association’s Clean & Safe Guidelines and the Massachusetts Safety Standards and Checklist: Operators of Lodgings.
In addition to these standards, lodging properties should also consider implementing additional protocols such as MLA’s Clean & Safe Self Certification, the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Safe Stay, and/or the Global BioRisk Advisory Council STAR Accreditation Program, among others.
